Oh, many thanks, sydneysiders.
lol jebro now that DID make me smile
I'd like to know how she knows what I was doing in 1974. I mean, there were so many 'available' women in the 70s I can't remember names or faces
I was crushing on A girl named Bobbi Kennedy. The day after she got a cast off her leg, I tried to help her carry some books for music class and tripped her on the stairs, rebreaking her leg.
Then her best friend beat me up.
I had a rough time in sixth grade.
No good deed goes unpunished
Don't worry about that. Within a few years or so, it will be the other way around. Then you'll remember everything in the past, but practically nothing in your present life.
74.....Sunbury pop concert .....some blond bird called Wendy ....a mate from school was doing crowd security....black belt in Bob Jones Karate [bunch of thugs]...with the slack taken up by the Hells Angels.
Got my first car about then....'64 Spitfire .....
Thems waz the dayz....
74... I remember it well! Floods.... 70% of Brisbane under water.
Same as the Stones 69 concert at Hyde Park, London.... the Angels did their bit to keep the peace. 'Twas last UK concert I went to before moving to Oz.
73.... Rolling Stones press reception at The Old Spaghetti Factory, The Rocks....at the top of the narrow, steep stairs....marking off names from a strict invite list...a wee slip of a thing tightly wedged between Bob Jones on the right shoulder...and his beefy sidekick...on the other.....a tad intimidating.... that moustache looked plain mean.....
first time we had security for a reception... all well behaved... 'cept for two attempted gatecrashers from the Women's Weekly....lol...and Mick...who had a lil hissy, when coming up the stairs, another lass ...who didn't look up after ticking off the previous person, to see who it was.... asked him for his invitation..... prima donna.....
74...was a very cool year....
